Stuff
I hung out with my crazy, Cajun friend Mary today. She's like a lot of people I know who don't see an accurate view of themselves. She has a lot of ambitions and has achieved just about everything she's set her mind to, but doesn't see that about herself. She grew up in the swamps in Louisiana in a wooden shack with a hole in the wall that snakes would crawl in through. Plus, when it flooded, she had to wade to school in 3 feet of swamp water to get to school. Her nearest neighbor owned an alligator farm and was always worried his alligators would drown when it flooded. (Yes, I too didn't know alligators could drown, but apparently they need to be able to go up on land once in awhile). So, this guy would let his alligators loose. Her school was two miles down the road through this alligator-infested swamp. I can't ever complain about how I get to a class again.
